The Greenfingers Group
Now in our 33nd year, we have a membership drawn not only from our immediate villages but also from Hillington, Middleton and King’s Lynn.
Since 2006 we have taken part in the Sandringham Flower Show with a small garden in the gardening clubs and societies class. So far have a tally of ten Gold Medals (six of them also Best in Show).
The Annual Horticultural Show in September is an opportunity to showcase the many talents of our members in growing garden produce, home baking and
preserving, varied handicrafts, art and photography.
We also welcome and encourage the residents of our villages to take part and demonstrate their skills. There are special classes for children under 16. In addition, we support local charities (such as Tapping House, Remap, Little Discoverers, Blood Bikes) with funds raised at plant sales and our annual show. We hold a Plant and Cake Sale in late May and a Christmas Wreath Workshop in December has proved very popular. We are a friendly group who enjoy a bit of a mardle over coffee and biscuits and welcome new members and visitors.
Membership is still £10 per annum and offers great value for money. Visitors are always welcome at £2 per session.
